Best dumplings I've ever had. It's a tiny space, our group of 9 people almost took up the entire restaurant. They did tell us that they have overflow space next door. We ordered about half of items available on the menu and everything was delicious. Parking was a challenge but this place is worth the struggle to find a spot. If you're in the area you should definitely check it out.
I was in the area and decided to eat here, and what a great decision! All the food we ordered was delicious and the staff were friendly. Between 2 people, we ordered the Garlic String Beans, Beef Roll Pancake, Spicy Dumplings, and Pork Dumplings with Chives. The Beef Roll Pancake was our favorite dish we ordered, I loved how it had thin slices cucumbers in it to add some freshness. The orange hot sauce they had on the table was so good! It paired well with the beef roll pancake and the pork dumplings. This is a small restaurant with limited seating. We went on a Saturday afternoon and got seated right away. Service was fast too, since we got our food fairly quick after ordering. I definitely recommend trying this place out!
The Kingdom of Dumplings should be recognized as a historical landmark on Taraval! It's been around for so many years and I've been a frequent guest that it's about time that I reviewed it! There's nothing fancy about this place - it's small & simple on the inside with very limited seating, humble on the outside, but often times, there are lines of people outside waiting to come it to dine-in or pick-up to-go orders. The dumplings are fresh, flavorful, and the perfect thickness. The portions are generous and the prices are great. The menu is classic Chinese with traditional Chinese flavors. Everything that I've tried here over the years is delicious. Kingdom of Dumplings is an absolute hidden gem!
Was in the area with the kids and D1 said she had a craving for dumplings. Wanted to take her to the place we had gone a couple months ago but turns out they're closed on Tuesdays. Why are so many Chinese restaurants closed on Tuesdays?! Anyhow we ended up at Kingdom of Dumpling. The menu is pretty extensive with lots of options. Love that the menu had a few pictures too. We opted for the Shanghai soup dumplings, the garlic green beans, and the pork shrimp and chive dumplings. Everything was so tasty. I liked to add the vinegar to my soup dumplings. Whatever the sauce was on the green beans was absolutely delicious. I would have liked more meat in the shrimp pork and chive dumplings. Very heavy on the chive but it was good nonetheless. What I believe was the owner, came in and immediately greeted every table in the room and asked if everyone was okay. Very personable and friendly man. He brought us our food as well and encouraged us to order noodles, but we already had enough on the table. At the end of our meal he asked if we needed something sweet as well. He's quite the salesman but not in a pushy way. Highly recommend Kingdom of Dumpling. Even my son, who didn't want to go in the first place was very happy and satisfied. They also have another location down the street that is just a store front that sells their dumplings frozen so that you can cook them at home.
Tasty and generous portion plates! Really efficient for pick up order 4.5/5 XO Beef Chow Fun had chewy noodles, fresh vegetables, and tender beef. The cabbage and onions added nice texture differences. A bit sparse on how many beef pieces were in here but still a big plate of noodles. Would still order this again 4/5 Salt and Pepper Tofu had great peppery flavor and a firm outside with a soft texture inside. Not very oily which was a plus. Also wish there were more accompanying vegetables it went super well with the few jalapeños there. I really like their orange chili sauce - it has a moderately high spice level to it.
We order take out from here. Chive and Pork dumpling was good. So we're the Shengjian bao. Food was still hot when we ate it. Prices are alright.
Randomly came across this cute hole in the was restaurant with my husband. First impression was the lady who was our server was so nice and sweet. Food was amazing. Sweet and sour soup was hot to perfection and me and my husband were fighting for the last dumpling Lol. their hot sauce was the prize for me it was so delicious I told our server how much I loved it and she sent me home with a whole to go soup container!
This place is a small and busy dumpling restaurant with amazing dishes! Everything is steamy and savory at a very decent price. Not much seating but well worth it, I noticed that this place is extremely busy with takeout orders, so they do get occupied while you're trying to order. Nonetheless, the food was great and cheap!
3.5 from me. It's good classic chinese food, solid dishes. Nothing crazy special but a great mom/pop style shop with lots of ppl getting takeout! My favorite was the salt and pepper tofu & steamed dumplings. It was a short 5min wait on a tuesday at 7pm
